Boomerang Video Maker
Turn a moment into a forward-and-back looping clip.
About this tool
Choose a video, pause the preview where the moment starts or type the start time, pick the length, speed and number of repeats, and make a boomerang to preview and download.
What makes a good boomerang
A boomerang plays a moment forwards, then backwards, again and again, so a short action becomes a seamless loop. The best moments have clear motion that looks fun in both directions: a toast, a jump, a splash, a hair flip, confetti or a spin. Keep it short (1 to 2 seconds is classic) and play it at 2ร for the snappy look; the forward and backward passes join without repeating end frames, so the loop is smooth. The tool reads the frames of your chosen moment on your device at 30 frames per second, builds the forward-backward sequence and records it into a new video, MP4 in browsers that support it (Safari, recent Chrome and Edge) or WebM. Most apps loop videos automatically, so a few repeats are enough. Honest limits: boomerangs are silent, so the sound is dropped; speed is made by skipping frames, so 3ร on low-frame-rate footage can look jerky; and recording runs in real time, so keep the tab visible. For a GIF instead, use video to GIF; the reverse video tool plays a whole section backwards.
