Luggage Size Checker
Check a bag against carry-on or checked size and weight limits.
About this tool
Measure your bag's outside dimensions including wheels and handles, enter its weight, then choose a typical limit or type your airline's exact figures. The tool says whether it fits, by how much it's over, and shows its linear size and approximate volume.
How bag limits work
Airlines limit luggage in three ways: maximum dimensions (for example 55 ร 40 ร 20 cm or 22 ร 14 ร 9 in for a carry-on), a linear size (length + width + height, often 158 cm or 62 in for checked bags), and weight (commonly 23 kg or 50 lb for checked bags in economy, sometimes 7โ10 kg for cabin bags). This checker compares your bag's longest side with the limit's longest side, and so on down, just as a sizer frame works, so it doesn't matter which way you measured. A 56 ร 39 ร 22 cm bag is 1 cm too tall and 2 cm too deep for a 55 ร 40 ร 20 cm allowance. It also calculates linear size and volume in litres. Always measure the outside, including wheels, handles and expanded pockets. Switch units between cm/kg and inches/lb and the values convert. Honest limits: limits vary widely between airlines, fare types and routes and change often, so the presets are common published sizes, not any airline's current rules. Check your booking before you fly. The packing list maker and the travel budget calculator are related.
