About this tool

Type, paste or open a .md file and see it rendered as a paper-style document. Choose A4, US Letter, A5 or Legal, margins, a serif, sans-serif or monospace font, the text size, and whether each top-level heading starts a new page. Press Save as PDF and pick "Save as PDF" in the print dialog. You can also copy the HTML or download the Markdown.

From Markdown to a shareable PDF

Markdown is the lightweight formatting used in READMEs, notes apps, documentation, chat tools and AI answers: # for headings, ** for bold, - for bullets, | for tables and back-ticks for code. It's great to write, but not everyone can open it, so a PDF is often the easiest way to share it. This converter renders the common Markdown elements: headings, emphasis, strikethrough, bullet, numbered and task lists (☐ and β˜‘), tables, block quotes, inline code, fenced code blocks, horizontal rules, links and images. It then lays them out as a document. The PDF comes from your browser's own print engine, so text stays selectable and searchable, links stay clickable, and nothing is sent to a server. Typography rules keep headings with the text that follows them and stop table rows and code blocks from splitting across pages. The document title becomes the suggested file name. For safety, raw HTML in the Markdown is shown as text instead of being run, and links that aren't web, email or relative addresses are disabled. Honest limits: footnotes, maths (LaTeX), Mermaid diagrams and other Markdown extensions aren't supported. Turn off "Headers and footers" in the print dialog to remove the date and page address, and images load from wherever they're hosted. The Markdown preview, text to PDF and HTML to Markdown are related, and What Markdown is, the syntax that matters, and where it works explains the syntax.
