How to use the cursive text generator

About this tool
Script is the most popular Unicode style by a wide margin, because it is the one that looks least like a gimmick. In an Instagram bio it reads as a deliberate design choice rather than as decoration.
One caution: screen readers often announce these characters letter by letter or skip them entirely. Never put your actual name, a phone number, or a link in script text.
Frequently asked questions
- Is this the same as a cursive font?
- No, and the difference matters. A font changes how a character is drawn; this changes the character itself. That is why it survives being pasted into an app that has never heard of your font.
- Why are some letters shaped oddly?
- A few script characters (โฏ, โ, โด) were added to Unicode separately from the main block, so they come from a slightly different design. It is a known quirk of the range, not a bug in the conversion.
- Can I use it in a wedding invitation or a document?
- You can, but do not. In a document you control the font โ use a real typeface, which will look better and stay searchable and readable by screen readers.
